Driver management permissions give users access to driver details, edit shifts, and perform select driver-related activities.
Permission
Description
Access Users
Select whether to provide permissions to view all users (usually drivers), only company users, or no users.
Add Driver
Allow user to add new drivers one at a time by selecting Add Driver in the Drivers page, or to upload several drivers at once via CSV. If not enabled, the Add Driver or Add User button does not display.
Note
Dispatchers with this permission can only create drivers for the teams to which they are themselves assigned.
Allow to Change Skills on a Driver
Enables the dispatcher to be able to change the skills assigned to a driver from the driver’s profile page.
Note
This permission only applies when skills are enabled for the organization. It is also dependent on the user having access to the Driver Profile permission.
Allow to Create Driver Skills
Enables the dispatcher to create new skills for specific drivers in their team when editing their profiles.
Note
This permission only applies when skills are enabled for the organization. It is also dependent on the user having access to the Driver Profile and Allow to Change Skills on a Driver permissions.
Allow User Assignment to Company
This allows a dispatcher to assign a driver to a company from the driver profile page.
Note
This permission depends on the user also having access to the Driver Profile permisssion.
Change Drivers Roles
Enables the dispatcher to update the user role of the driver when editing the driver profile. This effects optimization inputs.
Note
Requires Driver Profile permission to be enabled.
Driver Profile
Allow user to view and edit the driver's details by selecting the driver's name. It automatically includes access to uploading profile photo, updating the phone number, editing other driver details, and deleting the account.
Note
Dispatchers can only update profiles of users belonging to the same team as the dispatcher.
This permission is required in order for other permissions related to driver profiles, like creating and editing skills, to work.
Edit Delivery Blocks
Allows the user to add new delivery blocks and change existing ones. If permission is not enabled, a user can only view delivery blocks but not save changes.
Editing Distance On Cash out/Debrief
Display the Cash Out and Debrief buttons on the Drivers page, allowing the user to perform these actions.
If you see a permission in the platform that does not appear in any of the indexed lists, verify that it is not a no longer supported permission.
Set up skills in Bringg to automatically assign orders to routes with the right drivers and vehicles that have the capabilities necessary to fulfill them. For example, when delivering groceries you can set up a refrigerated skill that applies to all perishable orders so that route optimization and AutoDispatch automatically assign these orders to the vehicles that also have the refrigerated skill.
Note that vehicle type and capacity (weight or volume) are properties of the vehicle, not skills.
Delivery blocks are the daily working hours (shifts) when your company delivers to its consumers. You can assign delivery blocks to your drivers and/or vehicles, so that Bringg can consider their availability when creating routes with route optimization (RO) or AutoDispatch (AD). Drivers can also sign up for shifts (delivery blocks) directly on their Bringg Driver App.
Delivery blocks are particularly useful when drivers work independently and self-register their available working times, as in the case of crowsourced last-mile carriers.
