Important: Required Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Good news!

In order to ensure better protection of both our platform and your user data, Bringg will be implementing a required two-factor authentication (2FA) process for users (admins and dispatchers) of the Bringg platform beginning May 1, 2025.

This change will take effect when the user next logs in to the platform after May 1, and only applies to those accounts that do not yet use a single sign-on (SSO) service.

While requiring 2FA is an important update, we strongly encourage users to begin transitioning your business to a Single Sign-On (SSO) service where possible for an even smoother login experience. Learn more about SSO in the attached PDF.

FAQs

What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?

2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring both your password and a second verification method.  In this case, the second verification will be via email.

Why is Bringg requiring it?

This change helps better protect your personal information and our platform from unauthorized access. Even if someone knows your password, they can’t access your account without the email second factor.

When will 2FA become mandatory?

2FA will be rolled out automatically to all users not using SSO beginning May 1, 2025, applicable with the user’s next login.

How do I prepare for this change?

For those not transitioning to SSO ahead of the rollout, in order to avoid any issues, please make user accounts are not shared by more than one user.  Each account should be linked to a unique email address used by only one person.

Will drivers be impacted as well?

No, this change applies only to Bringg platform users (admins and dispatchers). Drivers using the driver app have a separate login format.

Similarly, OpenID will not be affected either, as it is a form of SSO specifically for the driver app.

What if I lose access to my 2FA method?

If you lose you access to your email account, contact your in-house support team for assistance.

Can I disable 2FA?

No, 2FA will be required for all platform user accounts, unless your company uses an SSO service instead. This is because 2FA and SSO are important measures to ensuring information security. For step-by-step setup instructions, SSO transition guidance, and support, read more in the attached PDF.
