Article Summary

Statuses keep users and customers updated with the progress of orders and shipments.

Orders with the New status do not have any shipments assigned a shipping account, carrier, service, packaging, or tracking link.

Partially Fulfilled orders have at least one shipment packaged and booked, with some unfulfilled inventory. This may occur when you fulfill an order from multiple shipping locations or if part of a shipment is on backorder.

Ready to Ship orders have been packaged, booked, and assigned a shipping account, carrier, service, and tracking link.

Finally, a shipment is Out for Delivery when it is on its “last mile” to the customer. After handoff to the customer, it is Delivered.

When a retailer cancels an order, the status is Cancelled. When the carrier cancels the order before pickup, its status is Cancelled by Carrier.

In general, orders and fulfillments with the New status only appear in the Orders and Fulfillments screens, while orders that already have at least one shipment created also appear in the Shipments screen.
